'Blitz Kids' was a label bestowed on a tight knit group of london teens in the early eighties who worshiped Bowie, dressed a bit eccentric and all attended The Blitz club in Covent Garden, and before that Billy's (which later became Gossips and hosted other legendary club nights like The Batcave and Gaz's Rocking Blues which, is still going, though Gossips has now been turned into a swanky bar). It seems the scene was short lived but it's impact on popular culture is such that most people still recognize the term 'Blitz Kids'. Despite this though, there doesn't seem to be many images on the internet showing the clothes worn by regulars. Luckily, though, our magazine collection has yielded both an excellent example of just how infamous the Blitz Kids became (see above the cover of the italian magazine, Domus Mode) and a fantastic article on the Blitz kids themselves featuring pictures of their amazing outfits and information about where to find them on a night out, from a November 1980 issue of The Face (click on the pages of the article to see them bigger).
